Everyone feels sad from time to time, but these feelings usually pass rather quickly.
In these situations, this is not 'Depression"
. Depression feels different. Someone with depression experiences extreme sadness or despair
that lasts longer than a couple of days, extending to weeks and even months.
People who are trully depressedfind that symptoms can interfere with normal, everyday activities, such as going to school or work, even
eating and sleeping. They often feel helpless and hopeless, like giving up.
